Afternoon Program 2025/26

In grades 5 through 12 of GISW, we are proud to offer an engaging and diverse Afternoon & Enrichment Program exclusively taught by our dedicated GISW faculty. This program is designed to spark curiosity, build new skills, and foster creativity beyond the traditional classroom setting.

Important Dates

  • Course Catalog Available: starting July 30, 2025
  • Registration Opens: July 30, 2025
  • Registration Closes: August 6, 2025
  • Program Start Date: After Labor Day (Sept. 1, 2025)
    (Note: From the first day of school until Labor Day, students will be supervised until 3:10 PM, but no afternoon courses will be held.)

What鈥檚 Offered?

Students in Grades 5鈥�12 can choose from a wide variety of exciting afternoon and enrichment courses鈥攆rom the arts and sciences to leadership and technology. All courses are held by GISW's experienced teaching staff.

Registration Process

Enrollment is on a first-come, first-served basis. If registrations exceed available spots, a lottery system will be used.

Attendance & Pick-Up Policy

  • Registration for courses is optional, but students must be picked up by their parents at 1:50 pm if they have not been enrolled in the program.
  • Regular attendance is mandatory once you have registered for a course. Repeated absences or inappropriate behavior may result in expulsion from the course.
  • If your child does not attend on a given day, they must be picked up by 1:50 pm at the latest. Please inform the coordinator in writing in advance at dbaker@giswashington.org for the AGs and Laura Walker lwalker@giswashington.org for the enrichment courses.
